Frame restoration and Oil painting repair

Its not dead, it just needs help.

We are here to help you with your repair, restoration or replacement.

Repair Your Frame

Sometimes all that is needed is to put the frame back together by re-attaching the corners.

It must be understood that not all frame are created equal. If the frame has carving it may need restoration or if it has gold/silver leaf it nay need replacing.

We're are able to do most of this in-house.

Restore new life

Sometimes the repair is a little more than just putting things back together, it needs to be restored back to near original condition.

This can be done by replacing or re-creating the damaged areas with new selected material.

Create a new replacement

When it can not be repaired or restored than maybe the best thing to do is replace.

With over 5000 corner sampled and 50 years experience  designing picture frames , we will find the best replacement.

The first question Is the frame made of real wood or metal?

If the frame is not real wood (paper of some other human-made material),

then in most cases, it can not be repaired.

Some of these frames are made from paper with a covering to make

it look like wood or metal leaf — others made of hard plastic or

compressed wood fiber which will not join again.

The next question is will the artwork fit the new frame

if the Picture Frame must be resized?

Now what can we do to repair your frame?

If the frame needs to be cut down to fit your picture,

it must have extra material on all corners.

The simple rule of thumb–2″ on each side must be used to resize the picture frame.

Frames with design must have one or two corners that

can be copied to build the restored picture frame.

Big question-- What does it cost?

We must see the frame to determine the cost.

With 50 years experience we have seen most every types

of frame and we will be able to give you a good estimate.
